Monitored addresses, by subject. Use the specific one — it gets a faster answer.
By subject
| Subject | Address | Typical response |
|---|---|---|
| Error in a mapped event | corrections@globalconflictawareness.com | 3 working days |
| Copyright, takedown, rights holder request | dmca@globalconflictawareness.com | 5 working days |
| Privacy, data protection, GDPR rights | privacy@globalconflictawareness.com | within 1 month |
| Everything else | contact@globalconflictawareness.com | 5 working days |
These are monitored mailboxes, not auto-responders. Using the specific address rather than the general one materially shortens handling time, because it routes directly.
Reporting an event you witnessed
The platform includes a submission tool for observed events, reachable from any theatre map. It captures a location and a short description, applies geographic validation, and marks the result as user-submitted so that readers can distinguish it from media-sourced events. Use that tool rather than e-mail: it produces a properly geolocated record.
Press and research
Researchers, journalists and students are welcome to use the platform and to cite it. If you need methodological detail beyond what is published on the methodology page — how a particular filter behaves, how attribution is weighted for a given theatre — ask at the general address and we will answer substantively.
If you intend to reuse data at scale, or to build on it, say so in your message. We would rather discuss it than discover it.
What we cannot help with
- We cannot verify whether a specific event occurred. GCA reflects public reporting; it does not conduct ground verification.
- We cannot provide assessments, forecasts or advisory opinions on a situation.
- We do not provide data to be used for operational or targeting purposes, and the Terms prohibit that use.
Security issues
If you have found a vulnerability in the site or its infrastructure, write to the general address with "security" in the subject line. Please give us a reasonable window to fix it before publishing.
